Pix from Salas to Tineo

Let me just say that the climb out of Salas was hard, but in two days from now, I’ll climb even higher!

I think this is where I got lost outside of Bodenaya; you arent’t ever really lost until you are lost and off the Camino.

A big bicycle road eally was going through the tpwns we eere walking in; this was a pre-parade and the were throwing out protipnal ideas from sponsoring companies.

The people in this town we’re sitting outside waiting for the racing rally to go by and they made me stop and wait because they were afraid that if I was walking by the road that the bikes would hit me in a crash.

I’ve always said if God wanted us to walk on asphalt he would’ve covered the world in it. However, he covered the world in mud, and mud is awesome because it gives and it’s cool and it feels like a massage on your feet if you don’t step in any big puddles.

Does anyone speak Latin?

Just walked 20 km and still needed to talk down the hill to my hotel.

I mean this looks tempting, right? This hotel was four-star and had a special spa for pilgrims. No wonder I thought about staying there an extra day. But best not to be intimidated by temptation.

Tineo, as seen from my hotel room.

Ruben, from Mexico and Sofi and Miguel from Oviedo
