I’m walking to Lugo. Weather and foot aren’t great, but there’s been moments of sunshine and times of good walking pace. Only have about 11k more to go and still not noon. Staying at the Gran Hotel in Lugo.

It is hard to stop once you have set a habit. I wonder how I will do when I get home. I’ve been in Castroverde since about 11am; it was a short 9k from Cadavo, but the weather is, well, shitty–sorry, but it is. Although not a lot of mountains, a lot of very steep ups and downs. Plus it did start windy, rainy… Read More Arrived O Cádavo
sitting here with the “astralians” and the other Ameivans. Hands are cold, been that kind of day. Hard even without pack. Felt like I was climbing up a rock wall a lot of the day. Also almost got hit by a big yellow truck. Fortunately, by ripping my left foot plantar again I was able… Read More A Break in Fonteneira
I had just climbed a big hill leaving La Mesa, Asturias and my friend Miguel came up behind me and took this great shot.
We are all walking our own Camino; we all have to live with it and make our choices. We have to love it and make it ours.
Thanks to Yurg from Switzerland for saving me tonight! Not only did we have a lovely time talking in ENGLISH, we had a very meaningful conversation about our lives and why we were walking the Camino. (He started in Switzerland!) We also did not have the standard pilgrims menu–which in Fonsagrada means having octopus. We… Read More Fonsagrada Evening Report
