Dining at this very out of the way place down the tiniest street.
I am eating the menu del dis one last time.
Good last day. Saw my Camino “guide” Ruben a coup of times. ¡Qué suerte! It was a nice bookend to the trip. Didn’t hear from Jurg, but I assume he got here.
I have been staying across the street from the Pilgrim’s Office and it has been very rewarding to see the various pilgrims come to the office.
It has also been great because I had the opportunity to see them swing the “botafumerio”(I am not spelling it correctly). It is the huge incense burner that is swung over the nave to bless the pilgrims. I have had the luck to see it twice. Usually it is only on special holy days–unless someone is paying for it.
Well I have to get up super early to get back to DC so I am calling it a night.
Thanks so much for sharing your trip and adventures, Tara. I was able to enjoy it through you. Come on home safely now. 🙂
